Jack Wolfskin Uni Rambler 28 Rucksack Review
To me, anything released by Jack Wolfskin is worth reviewing simply because they produce fine hiking gear that has stood the test of time.
This Jack Wolfskin Uni Rambler 28 Rucksack is perfect for the kind of hiker who likes to take on a grueling day hike. It’s of a medium size so wouldn’t be perfect for a thru-hike, although if you’re determined to travel light and with stops on the way, it could be used for weekends away in the outdoors.
So what has it got?
Comfort. The rucksack has the flexible ACS suspension system that allows the pack to sit ‘just right’ on your back and has the ability to move with you. It also has an effective back ventilation system for easy air flow. There are chest straps that are adjustable for more comfort and is also fitted with a signal whistle.
The main compartment can easily hold a hydration system with tube duct and attachment. There is also a handy lid pocket, an external pocket and two elasticated compartments for your drinks. Also note that there is another small pocket on the waist. So plenty of places to get organized!
You can also attach a trekking pole if needed and the pack also comes with reflection material. What most backpacks and rucksacks don’t include are raincovers…this one does. It sits handily in the base compartment for fast access.
What also makes the Jack Wolfskin Uni Rambler 28 Rucksack stand out from the norm is it’s material. The pack sack is made of very lightweight and tough Cross Rip 210D material and anti-tear Nailhead 210D. It’s built to last and take on most hiking environments. The base is made of the same strong stuff with reinforced threads…you won’t break this easily!
The frame is the DERLIN type that Jack Wolfskin swear by…and who am I to argue with them.
Overall, the Jack Wolfskin Uni Rambler 28 Rucksack a is perfect rucksack for the serious hiker who wants that extra bit of quality and comfort on their walks. Roomy enough for a long hike in all weathers.
As the rucksack is kinda new, there are no reports of dissatisfaction and for style, quality and brand, we give it a promising 4.8 out of 5. This will be updated as time goes by, but for the moment it rates as one of our favourites…our ‘tip for the top’ so to speak.
This is a backpack for hiking and not for school work or commuting, it’s a dedicated rucksack for all those hiking lovers out there!
